Our Client is one of the most world renowned 3 Star Michelin Chefs with over a dozen restaurants and hotels in London alone. With hardly any group Energy procurement strategy in place, each site’s management independently sourced their own Energy supply contracts through direct contact with Energy suppliers.
After an independent review of the client’s portfolio, we found that more than 50% of their restaurants and hotels were on uncompetitive deemed rates.
Our Client required a consolidation of all of their Gas & Electricity supplies and favourable rates which would bring their total costs down significantly.
The Hotel Energy Team put forward the following proposal:
Our first undertaking was to fully understand our client’s various business and the services they provided, the costs behind those service and their schedules.
From this analysis we were able to approach our extensive network of Gas & Electricity Suppliers within the energy market with a detailed tender of our client’s requirements.
After receiving the tender responses from several Gas & Electricity suppliers, the Hotel Energy team was able to develop a clearly understandable proposal for our client, which included varied contract lengths, competitive prices and a future Energy procurement strategy.
We organised the consolidation of the client’s Gas & Electricity supplies from 6 different Energy suppliers to one for each utility. We also tailored each site’s energy supply contract to have to same end date with bespoke Energy supply contracts, assisting with simpler administration and greater procurement power in the future.
Hotel Energy was also able to achieve a savings of over £260,000 for the client against their previous year’s procurement of Gas & Electricity.
We have since been commissioned by the client to assist with the opening of two new restaurants.
