Our client is a prestigious hotel group with a number of “Signature“ properties and was looking to manage its energy costs more effectively. There was a more pressing issue in that one of their hotels energy contract was drawing to an end and needed to be addressed quickly.
With Gas consumption approaching a million kWh per annum and the current supply contract coming to and end this client needed to make sure that it was able to secure the best terms for its forward energy requirements.
Rather than accept the current suppliers proposal, due to time pressure, Hotel Energy were called in to help out.

The primary task was to get the client’s requirements to the market and to the most appropriate energy suppliers fast!
Using Hotel Energy’s extensive network of contacts and relationships built up over many years the review of potential suppliers and the receipt of proposals was completed in record time.
With the responses from the suppliers in, the Hotel Energy team carried out a detailed review of the supply rates and the contractual terms proposed and summarised the results into an easily understandable proposal for the client. Hotel Energy presented the findings of what was available in the market, highlighting the pros and cons of the varying supply terms and made recommendations for the future supply contract.
With the clear and concise proposal from Hotel Energy, the client was in a position to agree with Hotel Energy on the supplier of choice and complete the contractual arrangements before the contract deadline.
Hotel Energy was also able to achieve a 34% reduction in the projected costs for the supply of energy based on historical usage and secure terms that offered 30% reduction in energy rates over a longer term agreement giving the client the option to secure competitive rates over the longer term in the current climate of rising energy costs.
Hotel Energy also manages the ongoing supplier relationship allowing the client to concentrate on looking after their guests.
